Those desperate to get away somewhere tropical this winter will be delighted to know that Virgin Atlantic Holidays has launched a new scheme that guarantees tourists a Caribbean holiday – without the requirement of quarantining upon their return home.
Countries currently included in the ‘Escape Pass’ offer include Barbados, Antigua, Grenada, and Tobago, and there are plans to also include Jamaica and further Caribbean islands as they are added to the government’s corridor list.
All customers have to do is simply choose their desired length of trip, preferred hotel rating, chosen board basis, and let the Virgin Holidays team work their magic.
All trips are ATOL protected and customers will find out their holiday destination and hotel details two weeks before they depart.
And if for whatever reason, Virgin is unable to fulfil the holiday, customers will be able to get a full refund or voucher to use at a later date.
While this new scheme could just be the bit of joy we’ve all been waiting for, it’s important that customers are aware that it is their responsibility to ensure they comply with all necessary entry requirements, including any testing requirements before their trip, as this is not included.
Customers will also need to make sure they have adequate travel insurance in place which includes cover should they catch Covid-19 before they travel or while on holiday.
It is worth remembering that this type of cover is not available on all policies, so we recommend that you check the policy you buy carefully to ensure you have the cover you require.
Lastly, customers should also be aware that the Escape Pass quarantine guarantee only relates to the requirement to quarantine on your arrival home – not at the holiday destination itself. So, this is something to consider.
