Thousands of fans are expected to be travelling to Wembley Stadium on Saturday 18th May 2019 for the FA Cup Final game between Manchester City and Watford. However, underground maintenance and engineering staff are planning a three-day strike from Friday 17th May to Monday 20th May.
More than 1000 members of The Rail, Maritime and Transport Union will walk out during the FA Cup Final weekend over a disagreement regarding safety.
Services across London are likely to suffer severe disruption and make reaching the stadium near-on-impossible for football fans. Fans who have already purchased their train ticket and now decide not to travel due to the strike action and subsequent delays should be entitled to a full refund of any unused tickets.
Although reaching the stadium is easiest by rail, football fans can also travel to Wembley Stadium by the below:
Wembley offers official stadium parking for those travelling by car; however, this is limited and must be booked in advance. Roads are expected to be busy surrounding the stadium so fans are advised to allow plenty of travel time.
According to the official Wembley website, local bus services in the area are; 18/N18, 83/N83, 92, 182, 206, 223, 297, 483. Tickets can be paid via Oyster card, Visitor Oyster card, Travelcard or contactless payment.
For those who live close to the stadium, there is bicycle parking available on street level B2 in the north east corner of the Stadium.
