Methodology
The final 11 locations were selected from over 60 abandoned locations. These 11 were used due to having the appropriate data available. Tour rating was calculated by using Trip Advisor scores and the average price of admission for an x1 adult and x1 child. Popularity rating was calculated by using the number of Instagram’s including the locations’ hashtag and a recent footfall number. The overall rating for each location was calculating an average of the Tour rating and popularity rating. Prices correct as of time of data collection (15/10/2018).
